Fall Menu starts at Cafe Presse

The Fall menu at Cafe Presse started today!   We all think the new Fall dishes look and taste great but you will all be the final judges, we hope.  Like every Fall, this menu marks the return of Axoa d’Espelette and Local Oysters with sauce mignonette.  Here are some of the other new dishes:

Winter pears, Gruyere cheese and caramelized onions baked on country bread and served with watercress.

Salad of raw carrots, beets, with apple, walnuts, parsley and a cider vinagrette.  And if you like, add buttermilk fried pork tongue.

Roasted pumpkin and pear soup with apple-rosemary compote and spicy pumpkin seeds

Brochette of pork leg, red onion and mushrooms served on a creamy chestnut-cauliflower gratin.

Hama Hama clams sauteed with parsley, escarole, white wine, chorizo and a chorizo-clam fumet.

Grilled grass fed New York strip with sage-brandyt-chicken liver butter and pommes frites.

As for dessert, there is chocolate marquise served with pumpkin scented creme anglaise.

Rustic apple-almond galette served warm with vanilla ice cream.

Fromage blanc cake served with apple-dried fig compote.

And here is a bonus photo of one of the apple galettes coming out of the oven…you can read the entire menu here:

  1. Good day! On a recent trip to Seattle (12/30/12), we visited Le Pichet and loved the food. For dessert we had a type of chocolate sauce served with a “firm” whipped cream on the side. It was fantastic! I tried to find this dessert on your web site but could not. What is the name and if possible, can you share the recipe please?
    Thank you, Vicki Boswell.
